Subsequently, we were appointed as reporting accountants, providing compliance services such as the preparation of annual statutory accounts and corporation tax returns, establishing  a solid foundation for us to offer ongoing strategic advisory support to the business at critical times. At the centre of this advice is the founders’ long term aims and succession plans.  We:

• Implemented a group restructuring plan to create Pinnacle Group.
• Designed and implemented a new capital structure to allow for the partial (and later full) exit of a co-founder.  This included modelling the restructuring for initial and subsequent share buy-ins and obtaining HMRC tax clearances.
• Participating in management away days dealing with future development strategy.
• Advising on the most tax efficient methods of funding office fit-out costs in office relocations and refurbishments, to maximise available capital allowances.
• Assisting in the preparation of long-term financial forecasts, including designing a model to predict future revenue based on tender opportunities.
• Assisting with the appointment of an auditor, following the successful growth of the business.
• Designing and implementing  an EMI share option scheme to assist in the incentivisation of key management, including explaining the new arrangements to management and applying for necessary HMRC tax clearances.

As important as all of these specific areas of assistance, we have spent many, many hours in meetings with the founder of the business discussing it with him where he has looked to us to provide essential sounding board input and advice.
