Having demonstrated our ability to quickly understand the business, its drivers and opportunities – and then explain these to the new management team in a focussed, pithy concise and understandable manner – we were retained to provide continuing support.

Our ongoing support for the business has included the recruitment and mentoring of financial managers, together with implementing financial procedures and systems.  When the business was between financial managers, we even stepped in and plugged the gap in the in-house accounting function for a short period to ensure that the company continued to have a fully effective finance department. 

Over the years we have also prepared detailed financial forecasts and assisted in monitoring these against actual results, investigating and interrogating key variances in performance and recommending positive action.  We have also:

• advised on accounting software packages and the effective capture and interpretation of financial data for presentation to internal and external stakeholders.
• provided advice in relation to business and personal tax matters throughout our relationship.
• supported the business through many challenges and business cycles, including various share restructurings, dealing with related tax clearances where relevant, providing advice when shareholders have retired, office relocations, methods to incentivise management and strategic short-term and long-term planning. 

The advice and support provided has assisted the current owner and remaining Founder Shareholder to ensure that her personal and business objectives are aligned.
