Our journey so far
JDC was founded in 2004 as a predominantly advisory-based business specialising in retained client advice and the sale and purchase of private companies.
The business grew to comprise three business streams – our ongoing retained Client Advisory business, a specialist Corporate Finance practice (JDC Corporate Finance) and a niche forensic accountancy and share valuation practice (Walton Dodge Forensic).
A tailored, one stop advisory solution for ambitious, long-term clients
Our particular blend of advisory, transactional and compliance related skills has evolved over the years as an attractive ‘one stop shop’ for a dynamic group of ambitious, motivated, retained clients who are not necessarily looking for a transaction in the short-term, but value the experience and expertise JDC offers as they progress through their own journeys. There has never been a ‘one size fits all’ approach at JDC.
Becoming part of FRP
In September 2020, having grown to a team of 16 hands-on, experienced and qualified accountants and business advisors, the JDC Group was acquired by FRP Advisory Group PLC (“FRP”), a much larger specialist business advisory firm.
FRP understood the value proposition of the JDC blend of Client Advisory, Corporate Finance and Forensic Services. Subsequently, whilst the latter service lines have been merged into FRP’s same service offerings, our retained Client Advisory business continues to practice under the JDC brand as a registered firm of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors.
The entire JDC team are multi-disciplinary specialists, with each also being part of either the relevant FRP Corporate Finance or Forensic Services teams, enabling us to deliver an even more comprehensive approach to the provision of the valuable ‘one stop shop’ service that we have always specialised in delivering to our clients.
For over 20 years, the JDC team have been proud to represent clients of all shapes and sizes and to be part of their journey.
